ALUM NICK DISPENZA ADVANCES TO FINAL ROUND OF CHEF’S COMPETITION

The pressure was on as Chefs from Penn National’s finest casinos (including local Hollywood Casino) battled it out for the prestigious Director’s Cut Award.  Chef Nick Dispenza (Class of 2006) of Hollywood Casino Joliet WON the first round of The Midwest Region Steakhouse Competition. “My dish consisted of a seared 4 oz. filet with Final Cut seasonings & red wine demi, herb roasted planked potato, a trio of carrots and asparagus, and a tomato salad with balsamic caviar. The whole night came together perfectly. I was honored to be competing against such amazing talent – the win was simply the icing on the cake!”, said Nick.  He will be advancing to the competition’s final round, taking place at Hollywood Casino Joliet, on November 19th.  Once Nick wins, he’ll not only take home the trophy, but he’ll also be awarded an exclusive Chef’s Coat, a 3 day culinary tour of Las Vegas and major bragging rights!Nick_DSC00813
