SPANISH STUDENTS COMPETE IN ANNUAL AATSP COMPETITION

On Saturday, November 16th, five of JCA’s Spanish students participated in the American Association of ¬†Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese 31st Annual Poetry and Poster Competition . This year’s competition took place at Niles North High School. Every one of our competing students was a winner. For the poetry portion, seniors Thomas Meyer and Alexis Kwaben competed at the Spanish IV level. Meyer took home a fist place ribbon while Kwaben secured a third place ribbon. For the poster competition, Mimi Ernst, a junior, earned a first place ribbon, with sophomore Jay Waldron earning second place and senior Michael Dow, third.
