CLASS OF 2014 ILLINOIS STATE SCHOLARS ANNOUNCED

Joliet Catholic Academy is pleased to announce its Class of 2014 Illinois State Scholars. This is a prestigious honor, awarded annually by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). Nearly 19,000 high school students from across the state have been recognized as this year’s State Scholars, including  26 of JCA’s own students.

Illinois State Scholar winners rank in the top ten percent of high school seniors from 749 different high schools across Illinois. Selection is based on SAT, ACT and/or PSAE scores, and/or class rank at the end of their junior year. High school guidance counselors work in conjunction with ISAC to determine the winners.

The following students have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars: Louis Bertani, Dominic Bertino, Alexandra Blotnik, Mary Bui, James Butler, Taylor Charley, Nina Clevinger, Austin Emerson, Nicholas Gulas, Frederick Harvey, Ryan Hippman, Jessica King, Christopher Korst, Dyllan Mattea, Anthony McInerney, Moira McSteen, Arianna Mihalakakos, Elizabeth Minarich, Thomas Mueller, Brett Pluth, Nathanael Pultorak, Alexis Rotnicki, Seth Stockl, Lucas Tyler, Alanna Wahl, and Margaret Whalen.
