Hosts Families Wanted for 2014-2015

Joliet Catholic Academy has an expanding international program and currently needs qualified host families to provide a safe and nurturing home environment for international students from China who will be attending our school during the 2014-2015 academic school year. If you live within a 30-minute commute to and from the school and are able to provide daily transportation, you may be eligible to apply!

Gphomestay will provide host families with dedicated support staff, host family training, and 24-7 emergency support throughout the school year, as well as regular group activities for you and the student to share with other participating families.

The students have their own health insurance and spending money. The host family should speak English at home, ensure that the student eats three nutritious meals per day, and provide a private bedroom for the student’s sole use. Being able to involve the student in family events and activities is a big plus. Participating families will receive a stipend of $900 per month.

We ask our hosts to commit to the 10-month academic school year. Hosts do not have to have a student enrolled at JCA to qualify. Help us spread the word next time you talk to you neighbors, co-worker, families, and friends! You can earn $150 for each family referral who is approved to host with the gphomestay program!
