Saturday, August 9th (2 p.m. – 11 p.m, Ingalls Park AC) marks the 3rd annual memorial fundraiser for Matt T. Mammosser. Matt, better known as “MAMMO”, an 18 year old varsity defensive lineman from JCA (#91) was diagnosed in 2012 with a rare form of brain cancer: Primary Central Nervous System Metastatic Melanoma. After a 5 month courageous battle against this aggressive cancer he was called home on May 27th, 2012.
To honor Matt’s spirit for life and giving heart, Mammo Strong Inc. was created in his name, an Illinois non-profit corp. All proceeds from this event help children to succeed in life, either medically, academically or through amateur sports. In the past 2 years Mammo Strong Inc. has donated $43,000 to many charitable organizations and children’s in need in Matt’s memory.
