Several JCA students in the fine arts department were recently honored by both the Joliet Junior College High School Art Exhibition and the University of St. Francis’ High School Art Exhibition.

Three current JCA students displayed works of  art at the Joliet Junior College High School Art Exhibition. Kellen McLeod, Yilin Chen, and Sabrina Serna all had works of art chosen that were displayed for the public. Serna achieved an Award of Excellence for her Metal piece titled “Sun, Moon, and Stars” and was honored at the exhibition’s award ceremony on Thursday, December 1st.

Jamie Stolfo achieved an Honorable Mention for her metal piece, “Social Butterfly” at the University of St. Francis’ High School Art Exhibition. This comes with a cash award of $50.00.

Her work, along with the works of Katelyn Dombrowski and Elyon Amoako will be exhibited at the USF Art Gallery, 25 E. Van Buren St., Joliet, from January 9 through January 21. A reception will be held on Saturday, January 21 from noon to 2 p.m. The reception is open to the public.
