18 student-athletes sign letters of intent at National Signing Day

Signing Day 2017 - 3
JCA athletic director Mr. Dan Sharp led off Wednesday afternoon’s National Signing Day Ceremony speaking of the importance of being a student-athlete, with the “student” portion always at the forefront. Sharp said, “most of the scholarship dollars attained here today by our 18 student-athletes continuing their careers at the collegiate level comes from academic scholarships. It is a tribute to how well rounded these individuals are in the classroom and on the playing field.”

Sharp also pointed out the impact parents play in creating the family atmosphere at JCA, a partnership between the administration, faculty, coaches, and parents at home. “We are grateful that you have trusted your children to JCA. Our own job is easy because you (parents) have the tough job. It has been a pleasure to coach and teach your sons and daughters.”
