IHSA Steroid & Performance-Enhancing Supplement Testing
Beginning with the 2008-2009 school year, the IHSA has approved a plan to randomly test high school athletes for steroids and performance-enhancing supplements during state final competition. In order to be in compliance with the IHSA ruling, JCA must have a steroid testing consent form on file in the Athletic Office for any athlete participating in a varsity sport. Forms page 2 of the Athletic Participation form and are available by clicking Athletic Participation Form or from the respective varsity team coach.
Joliet Catholic Academy, a member of the Illinois High School Association and the East Suburban Catholic Conference, offers all students the chance to compete in interscholastic athletics. A large majority of our students participate in athletic activities through either IHSA sanctioned sports or JCA's Intramural Program.
