Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends,
Here at Joliet Catholic Academy we take great pride in our athletic programs and sports teams. The reason we have had such success is people like you – our alumni, parents, friends and former athletes that have set the standard of excellence and have given us the example of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and sacrifice. In other words, you did it the “Joliet Catholic Way”. We are also very grateful to all of you that support our athletic programs. You give our students the opportunity to compete and achieve as Hillmen and Angels. Our students are very much aware of all the Hillmen and Angels that came before them and our rich history, and take the responsibility of representing Joliet Catholic Academy very seriously. We have won 18 State Championships (nine in the past 10 years), including State Championships as recent as 2007 (football), 2008 (volleyball), and 2009 (baseball). We have won many conference, regional, and sectional titles. Many of our individual athletes have qualified for the State Finals. Seventy-three percent of our student body participates in athletics. Our success goes beyond the playing field; the average GPA of all JCA athletes is 3.74. JCA student-athletes today are doing their very best to continue the traditions you have established.
With the challenges of the current economic times, many families who planned to send their children to JCA just cannot afford the cost of tuition. Many boys and girls, dreaming of becoming Hillmen and Angels, will not get that opportunity. We are once again asking you to set the example - to do it the “Joliet Catholic Way”. We need the entire Joliet Catholic Academy family to come together as a team to meet this challenge. Our strong traditions mean nothing if there are no Hillmen or Angels to carry them onward. Please give whatever you can to our Annual Fund. Through your sacrifice we can give more young people the opportunity to become Hillmen and Angels, and to be able to carry on the Tradition of Excellence in the classroom and the arena.
Your generosity will allow other young people to experience what we experienced as students of St. Francis Academy, De La Salle High School, Joliet Catholic High School, and Joliet Catholic Academy.
