After toppling St. Francis Wheaton in 5-0, Hillmen baseball brought home their third state title (second under Coach Jared Voss) on Saturday, June 8th. Players “dogpiled” on the field in excitement and then received medals. The on field excitement was followed by an on-campus victory rally where JCHS grad Mayor Tom Giarrante (’59) gave a talk, followed by councilman John Gerl, Principal/CEO Jeff Budz, and Athletic Director Dan Sharp (’74). The celebration continued at Traditions Restaurant in Joliet, where the team and their families were treated to pizza, pop and more as guests of Chris Adler (’76) and Mike Sheppard. We here at JCA could not be prouder of the team and coaching staff. Congratulations, Hillmen!
