8TH ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE STARTS TODAY

Join the 1o,000 lb. Challenge as the student body competes to collect canned and non-perishable food items. Last year, averaging just under 15 lbs of food per student, JCA students collected 10,726 pounds of food. This year, they are encouraged to go above and beyond to meet or exceed a total weight of 10,000 pounds – they are encouraged to go above and beyond last year. All donations will directly benefit food pantries at local parishes. St. Patrick’s and St. John’s food pantries will both benefit from the donations, as well as St. Bernard’s who will use them for Thanksgiving baskets. Student donations will be collected through homerooms. Just as last year, if students exceed the 10,000 lb goal, teachers will be spending a night on the roof. So please be generous in your giving!

The food drive is taking place now through Thursday, October 31st. Contributions may also be dropped off in the Main Office at Joliet Catholic Academy. For more information or questions regarding the Food Drive, please contact Mrs. Arnett or Mrs. Mackey at 815-741-0500.
