Varsity Baseball Head Coach Jared Voss will be inducted into the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. This prestigious award recognizes coaches who have provided selfless efforts and long standing commitments to improve high school baseball in Illinois.

In 16 years as Joliet Catholic Academy’s head coach, Jared Voss has taken the baseball program from a level of excellence to greatness. His 413-196-1 career record includes 12 regional championships and six sectional titles. Four of his teams have won 30 games or more, with 14 teams eclipsing the 20-win plateau. He has guided six teams to the Final Four, featuring Class AA second-place finishes in 2000 and 2004 and a third in 2008. He won his first state championship in 2009 as part of a three-year run to the Class 3A state finals, which was followed up by a fourth place in 2010. In 2014, Voss won his second 3A state title with a 25-14 record. That adds up to two state titles, two state runners-up, a third and a fourth for the 40-year-old Voss, whose best records were 33-7 in 2008, 32-5 in 2009, 32-8 in 2004 and 30-12 in 2000.

Voss will be inducted into the IHSBCA Hall of Fame during a ceremony to take place at the Westin Hotel in Yorktown Center on Saturday, January 24, 2015.

In addition to being inducted, Voss will also be recognized for leading his team to an exceptional summer season and receive the Summer Coach of the Year award.
