Boys soccer’s Jared Olson garners postseason awards

Joliet Catholic Academy senior boys soccer player Jared Olson was named to  the 2015 Chicago Fire Boys All-State All-Academic 1st Team honoring soccer players for their academic and athletic achievements. Jared was also an IHSSCA All-Sectional honoree, a two-time ESCC All-Conference players, a two-time “War on 34” All-Tournament Team selection, and the captain for the Hilltoppers in 2015.

Recently, Jared was honored as JCA’s Rotary Club October Student of the Month. The son of Judy and Jerry Olson,  Jared currently boasts a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale. The senior All-Conference varsity boys soccer player is also involved in Key Club, Math Team, Spanish Club, Victory View Media, and Student Ambassadors. Jared is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Math National Honor Society), and Spanish National Honor Society. Jared is a member of the Youth Group at St. Mary Nativity Parish, and also plays club soccer for the Naperville Soccer Association. In his spare time he volunteers at the Day Break Shelter, the Peter Claver Center, and tutors grade school students at St. Mary Nativity. Jared in undecided on his college choice, but plans to study Civil Engineering.
