Mia Farrell, a senior girls basketball player at Joliet Catholic Academy, has been named a 2015 Esmark High School All-American. The award is in recognition for her outstanding achievements in athletics, academics, and community service, combined with her character and perseverance.

Farrell, a senior leader in the girls basketball program, recently scored 15 points in the Angels’ season opener, a 79-69 win over Lincoln-Way North. She also added three rebounds and two steals for a new-look Angels squad that looks to build on 2014’s 2nd place finish in Class 3A at the IHSA State Tournament.

Farrell is the second Angel to be honored this year with the Esmark All-American Award. Senior forward Andriana Acosta was also honored with the award in October.
