Looking for Service Hours? – The Spirit Shop is looking for student volunteers to help with the Uniform, Workbook and Supply Sale.  You can volunteer for one or more of the days.  What a great way to get those hours even before school starts!  If interested, please contact Mrs. Lemke at spiritshop@jca-online.org

Skort option for female students – A skort for female students is now available as an option in the JCA Dress Code.  It is an additional option for the girls and not a requirement.   To view and order a skort please go to http://www.dennisuniform.com and use the school code G4FGL.  Skorts may be ordered immediately for delivery September 2016.   Please remember that this is an additional option for our female students, and not a requirement.

Also, see the below message regarding updates to the School Polo/JCA Dress Code:

NOTHING has changed regarding the dress code from last year, we are merely ADDING options for our students. Students and parents were polled during the spring about potential updates regarding school polos – offering new colors as well as “performance” polos. Beginning this fall at the Uniform and Lock Sale, brown, white, and blue cotton polos will be available for sale. Any JCA school polo bought in the past will meet JCA Dress Code requirements and will be allowed to be worn. We will also be offering Nike Dri-Fit options in brown and blue. Underclassmen must wear one of the above options, purchased in the JCA bookstore, with the JCA logo on the breast. Seniors will be still be allowed to wear different colored polos not purchased in the bookstore, as per tradition.

The school uniform shoe policy also has not changed, and is highlighted on the website with photos. The only acceptable dress code shoe is the leather Sperry, top-sider style of shoe (it does not have to be the Sperry brand). Shoes must have at least two eyelets for laces on each side of the shoe so that the laces can be tightly tied at all times. The shoe must be worn completely on the foot. Canvas made shoes or leather shoes with a wide rubber band encircling the entire shoe are not allowed on any regular dress code day, nor are shoes of any recognized athletic brand. Sandals or flip-flops are never allowed under any JCA Dress Code.
