JCA announces April Students of the Month

Joliet Catholic Academy President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz is proud to announce the April Students of the Month: Samuel Seneker (Kiwanis Club), Alexander Demos (Rotary Club), and Shannon Quinn (Lions Club). JCA is proud of the success these students have exhibited both in the classroom and out in the community.

Sam Seneker

Samuel Seneker, son of Michael and Carrie Seneker, currently holds a 4.54 GPA in JCA Honors classes. Seneker is a member of the National Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Math National Honor Society), and a leader “HillZone”, Joliet Catholic Academy’s athletic cheering section. Seneker is also a member of the varsity baseball team. He was recently named a “Top 25 Student” at JCA at the Joliet Chamber of Commerce’s annual Top Student Recognition Banquet. Seneker is currently undecided on his college of choice.

Alexander Demos

Alexander Demos, son of Brian and Kim Demos, currently holds a 4.80 GPA in JCA Honors and AP classes. Demos serves as the secretary for JCA’s National Honor Society chapter, ad is also the president of JCA’s Mu Alpha theta chapter. Demos was named a “Top 25 Student” at JCA at the Joliet Chamber of Commerce’s annual Top Student Recognition Banquet. He is currently a member of the JCA varsity tennis program, and also has competed for the Math Team, and Scholastic Bowl. In his spare time he gives tennis lessons, and walks dogs during the summer. Demos plans on attending Ohio State University where he will major in computer science.

Shannon Quinn

Shannon Quinn, daughter of John and Alexandra Quinn, currently holds a 4.75 GPA in JCA Honors and AP classes. Her favorite subjects are Chemistry and Math. She is a member of National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and National Spanish Honor Society. Shannon was recently named a “Top 25 Student” at JCA at the Joliet Chamber of Commerce’s annual Top Student Recognition Banquet. During her high school career she has participated in the JCA cross-country and track programs, while also serving in the Respect Life Club, Student Ambassadors, Leo Club, and participating on the Math Team. Shannon earned a “Top Student” medal in Pottery I and Literature of the Holocaust. She is also an active member in Holy Family Parish’s Outreach program. Shannon will attend Saint Louis University, majoring in health science/pre-med with plans to enter the medical field upon graduation.
