JCA girls swimming competes at Lockport Sectional

The JCA swimmen’ women did a great job this past Saturday, November 11th at the Lockport Sectional swim meet. Out of the 10 events that the girls competed in, they earned 6 top ten finishes among the tough field of competitors.

• Taking home some jewelry was Megan O’Brien by placing 3rd in the 500 freestyle event and setting a new personal record. Megan also placed 6th in the 100 butterfly. 
• Julia Khater finished with a 10th place and an 11th place 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle. 
• Avery Resendiz swam well placing 12th in the 50 free and setting a new personal record and placing 13th in the 100 freestyle. 
• Emily Morrissette was back in the pool earning 7th and 9th place in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle.

Last, but certainly not least, was freshmen Olivia Adamic who placed 8th in the 100 breaststroke and 11th in the 50 freestyle. Great job ladies.
