JCA senior Alyssa Gomez

Joliet Catholic Academy senior Alyssa Gomez has been invited to perform three of her original poems, including the award-winning “Across the Border” and “I am” at the 27th Annual University of St. Francis Writers’ Conference.

The USF English Department sponsored event features keynote speaker poet and professor of creative writing and film studies, Simone Muench. The conference is open to students across the country as “an opportunity… to present papers, field questions, and further hone their argumentative thinking skills in a challenging but supportive environment.” It will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2018.
