JCA announces November Students of the Month

Joliet Catholic Academy President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz is pleased to announce the November Students of the Month: Conor Klump (Kiwanis Club), Max Cullen (Rotary Club), and Peyton Buss (Lions Club). JCA is proud of the success these students have exhibited both in the classroom and out in the community.
 

JCA senior Conor Klump

 
Conor Klump, son of Raymond and Karen Klump, currently has a 4.43 GPA in JCA Honors and AP classes. Klump is a member of National Honor Society, International Thespian Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Math National Honor Society), and National English Honor Society. He is the recipient of the Ronald Reagan Leadership Award and the Honor Thespian Award. Klump plans on attending college to major in Business and Film/Film Studies and eventually pursue his MBA. He plans on studying abroad in college and also completing the Walt Disney Corporation Disney College Program internship. He hopes that his internships and college connections will lead to involvement in the entertainment industry, particularly in film. Conor has been a four-year member of the JCA Drama Department, where he has been a standout cast member in several fall plays and spring musicals.
 

JCA senior Max Cullen

 
Max Cullen, son of Ms. Stephanie Cullen and Brian Cullen, currently has a 4.90 GPA in JCA Honors and AP classes. Cullen is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. He is a Kazma Family Scholarship recipient, Joliet Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Recipient, Catholic Education Foundation Scholarship Recipient, and a 2016 Spanish Exam Bronze Award winner. At JCA, he is a member of the Respect Life Club, Spanish Club, Medical Sciences Club, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, and Intramural Basketball. Max received the prestigious Ronald Reagan Student Leadership Award. He is a member of the varsity baseball team at Joliet Catholic and also participates with the Rhino Baseball Travel program in the offseason. He is currently undecided on college but plans on majoring in Pre-Medicine with an occupational interest in anesthesiology.
 

JCA senior Peyton Buss

 
Peyton Buss, daughter of Brian and Jennifer Buss, currently has a 4.62 GPA in JCA Honors and AP classes. Buss is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National Art Honor Society, and JCA Student Ambassadors. She participates in cross country at JCA, where she is a two-year varsity captain, is president of the Respect Life Club, and started the Bowling Club. She has received academic certificates in Physical Education, Theology, Geometry, and Theatre Arts, while also receiving Theology and History Medals during her time at JCA. During her spare time, she volunteers with the Miracle League in Joliet. She plans on attending St. Mary’s in South Bend, with a prospective major in Special Education/Early Childhood Education. She hopes to get her Doctorate in Special Education and focus on working in Catholic schools.
