Joliet Catholic Academy to hold Baccalaureate Liturgy and 31st Annual Graduation Ceremony at Joliet Memorial Stadium Sunday, May 16

Joliet Catholic Academy is excited to announce that as the 2020-2021 school year comes to a close, this year’s 31st graduating class from Joliet Catholic Academy will celebrate the annual Baccalaureate Liturgy and Commencement Ceremony outdoors on Sunday, May 16 at Joliet Memorial Stadium. This special weekend includes graduation practice and Senior Night on Friday, May 14 on campus in the Student Activity Center. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year’s graduation was held as a walk-through in the Student Activity Center. The entire JCA community is grateful that family and friends can celebrate Mass and Graduation together once again.

Fr. Jeff Smialek, O.Carm., JCA Campus Minister and faculty member, will official the Baccalaureate Liturgy at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at Joliet Memorial Stadium, with commencement exercises to immediately follow. Tickets were provided to graduates and family members. No admission is allowed for the general public.

Commencement exercises, led by JCA President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz, will include Major School Awards such as Hilltopper of the Year, Angel of the Year, Valedictorian, and Salutatorian, as well as the reading of all graduates. JCA does have a contingency plan in place to move to an indoor graduation on campus in case of inclement weather.
