Joliet Catholic Academy President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz is pleased to announce the February Students of the Month: Colin Linneweh (Kiwanis Club), Paige Michel (Rotary Club) and Lillian Charles (Lions Club). JCA is proud of the success these students have exhibited both in the classroom and out in the community.
Colin Linneweh, son of Kristine and William of Shorewood, is a graduate of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Grade School. Colin is a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society), and is on the A Honor Roll. He is a Student Ambassador, was a member of the baseball and soccer teams, and spends time volunteering outside of school. Colin plans to attend the University of Missouri in the fall and wants to major in Architecture.
Paige Michel, daughter of Katie and Ed Michel of Joliet, is a graduate of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Grade School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society (secretary), Student Council and Student Ambassadors. She is the communications chair for the Key Club and Habitat for Humanity where she now serves as President. Paige is also a member of the State Qualifier Competitive Cheerleading team. Paige is active as a volunteer outside of school at Daybreak Shelter and Kitchen. She plans on attending the University of Colorado (Boulder) and wants to major in Business and Marketing where she hopes to study abroad.
Lillian Charles, daughter of Mary and Asbury Charles of Merrillville, is a graduate of Joliet Montessori School. She is a member of the National Honors Society, National English Honors Society, National French Honors Society, National Art Honors Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Outside of the classroom, Lillian is a member of the Tennis team, Art and Literary Magazine Club, Accepting Cultural Diversity Club, French Club and Wildlife Club. She received special recognition in the National French Contest- 3rd place in 2020 and Honorable Mention in 2021, 2022. Lillian plans to attend college but is undecided. She wants to major in Computer Science and minor in Art.
