Each year during the month of October, Joliet Catholic Academy students celebrate the Franciscan and Carmelite origins of the school during Heritage Month. October includes both the Feast Day of St. Francis and the Feast Day of St. Terese of Lisieux, notable inspirations for each order. This year, as part of the celebration, students will be able to wear their Heritage T-Shirt each Wednesday during the month to commemorate the charisms of the Franciscans and Carmelites. The T-Shirts are available in Brown or Blue, and a portion of the proceeds will go to Franciscan and Carmelite charities. Orders must be placed by September 20th at Midnight. Student Shirts will be distributed in the Homerooms on October 2nd. Faculty, Staff and non-student shirts can be picked up in the Front office.
