Joliet Catholic Academy Announces Class of 2028 Kazma Family Scholarship Recipients

On Saturday, August 17th, the Kazma Family Scholarship recipients from the class of 2028 gathered at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet with their loved ones, their school leaders, and the Kazma family for a Mass in their honor celebrated by Bishop Ronald A. Hicks.

This year’s Class of 2028 Joliet Catholic Academy Kazma Scholars are Luke Sartori, Emily Dvorak, Parker Toole, Katelyn Munday, and Benedict Pawlowski.

The Kazma Family Foundation, in conjunction with the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF), offers four-year scholarships to eighth grade students enrolling in one of the CEF supported Catholic high schools. Students must be active in their Catholic faith through their parish, participate in community service, have a B (3.0) grade point average or higher, and have demonstrated financial need to qualify. The student applicants are also asked to submit an essay on how being a Catholic has shaped the person they are today.

We wish the scholars luck and success as they embark on their high school careers. JCA is extremely grateful to both the Kazma family, Catholic Education Foundation of the Diocese of Joliet for their continued generosity in supporting our Angels and Hilltoppers.
