Joliet Catholic Academy President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz is pleased to announce the September Students of the Month: Adam Bailey (Kiwanis Club) and Ava Pritz (Lions Club). JCA is proud of the success these students have exhibited in both the classroom and in the community.
Adam Bailey, son of Dr. Robert and Kellie Bailey of Shorewood, is a graduate of St. Raymond Grade School. Adam is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honors Society, and National Spanish Honors Society, and is a recipient of the Heritage Award, Franciscan-Carmelite Top Scorer Scholarship, and the Kazma Family Scholarship. He serves as the Key Club Treasurer and is a member of Student Ambassadors, Eucharistic Ministering, Peer Mentoring, Habitat for Humanity, Euchre Club, and Pickleball Club along with being a member of the Varsity Baseball and Football teams. Outside of his school responsibilities, Adam is an umpire for youth baseball. Adam’s future plan is to study to become a sports physical therapist.
Ava Pritz, daughter of Jim and Dawn Pritz of Joliet, is a graduate of St. Raymond Grade School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honors Society, National Spanish Honors Society, and National Art Honors Society, and is a Heritage Award recipient. Ava is active in Student Council and currently serves as the Executive Board Treasurer and is a member of Student Ambassadors, Key Club, and Garden Club, as well as a member of the Varsity Volleyball team. Ava is busy outside of her school duties by volunteering at the Northern Illinois Food Bank and maintaining jobs at J.D. Brown Pharmacy and The Jacob Henry Mansion. Ava plans to attend Lewis University or St. Louis University and major in biology or bio-chem with intent to further her education and become a physician’s assistant.
