Homecoming Court, Parade and Crowning of King and Queen 

Update: Congrats to our 2021 Queen Bre Ciemny and King Jabril Williams

The Class of 2021 has nominated 10 Angels and 10 Hillmen for Homecoming Court via Forms on March 29th 

  • April 15: All school voting
  • April 16: Homecoming Court and Pep Assembly (Pep Assembly schedule) 
  • April 16: Official Court photos taken by VIP, immediately after school 
  • April 16: Homecoming Parade; 4 p.m. begins and ends at JCA. Route will be published in advance 
    • Ingalls Ave west to Essington Road (south) to Jefferson St (east). Route will proceed past the Stadium and then north on Infantry Drive to Ingalls and return to JCA
  • April 16: King and Queen announced during half-time of Varsity Football game

Sunday, April 11, 2021  

Please read email sent on April 5, 2021 to the students registered for the event

Noon on the Freshmen Football Field 

 Due to the current mandates, this is a studentonly event. Parents will be able to view pictures of the event through the VIP website. Only students who registered for the event (now closed) can attend.

Permission Slips are required of every registered participant including coaches and players.  In addition, if you wish to participate AND are currently in your athletic season, the signature of your HEAD COACH is required.


Senior Privileges

Beginning April 19, seniors can dress down and will eat lunches outside.  If weather is bad, all seniors will eat in the gym.  Students can have lunches delivered to tennis court – never to the Main Office.

Seniors will be allowed to go to their cars to get chair, blanket, frisbee, etc. to use during the 5th period lunch.


Class of 2021 Senior Prom – Midnight Garden 

Thursday, April 29, 2021   5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.  (must arrive no later than 6:30 p.m.) 

Bolingbrook Golf Club – Pre-paid Reservations required 

Seniors will have classes through the end of 3rd period.  They MUST be in attendance to be able to attend Prom.  All seniors have Friday, April 30 off from school.

Senior Student Council will issue formal invitations the week of March 15, 2021. Each JCA senior will have a week to reserve (not pay for) a Prom ticket through FormsFollowing that, any Senior that wishes to request a second ticket, will be able to do so on a first-come first-served basis.  It will be announced in advance when those remaining tickets become available to reserve.  After all tickets are reserved (maximum capacity is 150), students will then have a separate day to pay for their ticket(s) and select which table they would like to be seated at for the evening.  

Cost per student is $80This includes a Red-Carpet entry, photo vignettes, plated three course dinner, professional photographer, professional DJ and a few more surprises!

Update 3/26/2021

Tickets have all been successfully reserved, including dates. Permission slips for all attendees will be required; if bringing a date, a guest form will be required. These forms will be made available at the time of ticket sales. Tickets will be sold during lunches thru mid-April. Cash and check (payable to JCA) are preferred. Tickets must be pre-paid; payment at Prom is not permitted.

NEW – JCA requires all non JCA prom guests to get tested with a rapid PCR test no more than 2 days before Prom (April 29, 2021) and to present the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 with 90 day or proof of full vaccination to the Dean’s Office before 9 am on April 29th. 


Senior Service Hours 

Deadline is April 30, 2021. Each Senior is REQUIRED to complete 30 hours of service in addition to the prior years combined obligation of 30 hours.  Additionally, at least half of all submitted hours must be for People In Need or a grade of INC (Incomplete) will be issued.  Incomplete service hours disqualify a student from graduating, and his/her FINAL transcript required for College Admission will be withheld. 


Senior Exam Week Schedule

Monday, May 3 & Tuesday, May 4 – normal school schedule

Wednesday, May 5  – attend periods 1-5; finals periods 6-8

Thursday, May  6 – attend periods 1-2; finalsperiods 3-4

Friday, May 7 – finals periods 1-2; seniors can then leave, change into dress clothes and return for Mother’s Day Mass.

AP students will follow the schedule provided by their AP teacher. AP exam dates and times are established by The College Board.


Mother’s Day Mass 

Friday, May 7, 2021 12 noon in the Student Activity Center

This year, Mother’s Day Mass will be Seniors only. Seniors are invited to bring their mother or one (1) special guest. Under the direction of the Administration, and with adherence to State mandates, no other guests will be able to attendFamilies with twins, will have three seats.  Mass will begin at noon, as is the tradition, and seniors will be excused for the day, after Mass, is completed. Senior exams / AP exams will be held at JCA prior to Mass.  Information regarding attendance, times, parking and other details will be updated here and issued via email through Campus Ministry.  


Please be sure your student is represented in the Senior Video!

NEW!!!Senior Panoramic Picture, Graduation Practice and Senior Celebration 

May 14, 2021 Graduation practice  

Noon in the Student Activity Center – Attendance is Mandatory 

New! Senior Panoramic will be taken immediately following graduation practice. Seniors are to be dressed-up for graduation practice and then may change into casual clothes immediately following the picture.

Class of 2021 Baccalaureate and Commencement  

 May 16, 2021 

Baccalaureate and Commencement will be held at ATI Stadium at 3pm

Six tickets will be issued for each graduate as long as the weather cooperates and we can be outside for the celebration. Additional details will be released from the President’s Office as the event gets closer. Tickets will be digital; commemorative ticket will be provided to each student at graduation practice.
