JCA Tapestry performs at senior living communities; chance meeting with former Tapestry Member

Tapestry Piano Tapestry Senior Star Kelstrom Nash WorstOn Thursday, November 19th, the Joliet Catholic Academy Tapestry Choir, led by director Joyce Kelstrom went out into the community and performed at Willow Falls and Senior Star, two senior living communities. Tapestry, along with Bells, and Vocal Ensemble are all currently in preparation for the annual JCA Christmas Concert, which takes place Wednesday, December 9th. JCA students in the music department will perform twice, once in the morning at 9:00 a.m. for their fellow students, and again at 7:00 p.m. for parents and the general public.

After performing at Willow Falls and Senior Star, JCA students went to lunch at Portillos accompanied by Mrs. Kelstrom and Mrs. Mary Ann Worst. In a chance meeting, Mrs. Kelstrom and Mrs. Worst ran into former Tapestry member and JCA student Jackie Nash ’04. Jackie is currently pursuing a career in show business as an actor, model, comedian, and vocalist while living in Los Angeles.

Jackie’s biography says she’s an energetic actor, comedian and singer with a B.A. in Theatre from Illinois State University. She has taken improvisation classes at Second City in Chicago and stand-up classes at Flapper’s Comedy in Burbank, CA.
