2021-2022 Admissions Timeline

  • September through April: Shadow Visit – 7th and 8th graders are invited to spend the day shadowing a JCA student.
      • Shadow Visits were cancelled for the 2020-2021 school year during the COVID-19 pandemic. An announcement will be made regarding fall shadow visits for the 2021-2022 school year shortly.
  • September 1-December 4, 2021: Heritage Award Applications available for prospective 8th graders.
  • Monday, October 11, 2021 – Practice High School Placement Test (for prospective 8th graders only).
    • CLICK HERE to register online for the Practice HSPT. Registration deadline: 10/7/21.
    • Sunday, November 7, 2021
      10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Thursday, November 11, 2021
      6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 4, 2021: Entrance Exam for all incoming freshmen; 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
  • Saturday, December 11, 2022: Makeup Entrance Exam for all incoming freshmen; 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 
  • December 31, 2021: Deadline via FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment
    Incoming Freshman FACTS JCA Leveraged Financial Aid Application* Financial Aid deadlines will differ for JCA, the Catholic Education Foundation, and Empower Illinois.
  • March, 2022: Kazma Family Foundation Scholarship deadline. Click Here for more information on the Kazma Family Scholarship.
  • March 1, 2022: Online Freshman Registration Deadline ($275 to hold spot in Freshman class, receive priority scheduling. All registrations submitted post-March 1 are $300).
  • March 1, 2022: Catholic Education Foundation Financial Aid FACTS application deadline; returning student financial aid deadline.
  • Date TBA: 7th Grade Step Up Day
  • January-August: Rolling Admissions Process (Placement Exam by appointment only). Contact Admissions at 815.741.0500, ext. 214 to schedule a testing date. Click Here to view the Application for Admission.
  • June and July: Summer events and activity camps for incoming freshmen.
  • August: Freshman Orientation

Transfer students

Present high school students seeking to transfer to Joliet Catholic Academy must contact the Vice Principal’s Office at 815.741.0500, ext. 216. A current transcript from the student’s school must be sent to JCA.

Joliet Catholic Academy is proud to announce participation in the Joliet Diocese Tuition Transfer Grant program for the 2020-2021 school year. Students entering grades ten through 12 who transfer from any public, private, charter or home school are eligible to receive a $4,000 transfer discount. ($3,000 discount off the 1st year enrolled and $1,000 off the 2nd year).
