Director of Diversity and Inclusion
Accountable to: President/Principal

Main Objective:   

To work with all students, faculty and staff, and community, but specifically members of our minority populations, addressing their concerns and meeting their specific needs.

Specific Areas of Responsibility:

• Advocate for minority students
• Work with the faculty and staff regarding professional development
• Administer training to help faculty/staff and students embrace and understand differing perspectives
• Work with the Vice Principal for Curriculum and Technology regarding a diverse curriculum
• Develop new programs and practices that effectively increase diversity
• Work with the Admissions Office to attract minority students
• Act as a resource for the Dean’s Office
• Engage the entire student body regarding diversity/sensitivity training
• Identify and advocate for all cultures on campus
• Act as a resource for Campus Ministry
• Articulate Catholic Church teachings and the charisms (core beliefs/principles) of the Carmelites and Franciscans

Qualifications:

• Dynamic speaker / comfortable speaking in front of groups
• Excellent Communication skills
• Ability to work as a team member
• Highly Organized
• Exceptional at multi-tasking
• Proficient in all aspects of technology
