FEBRUARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Joliet Catholic Academy is proud to announce its February Students of the Month – Arianna Mihalakakos (Rotary Club), Daniel Weis (Kiwanis Club), Brandon Santos (Joliet Noon Lions), and Julia Shemaitis (Exchange Club).

Arianna, daughter of Peter and Jennifer Mihalakakos of Naperville, is the Rotary Club Student of the Month. Arianna is an Honor student who is a member of several honor societies, including the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and National Spanish Honor Society. She is also a member of the Math Team, Student Council, and Handbell Club. Outside of JCA, Arianna is involved with various activities at her church. After JCA, she plans to attend Northwestern University to study Human Communication Sciences.

Daniel, son of Nick and Tricia Weis of Oswego, is the Kiwanis Club Student of the Month. Daniel is actively involved on campus at JCA. He has previously participated in the Pro-Life Group and is in National Spanish Honor Society and serves as the secretary for Mu Alpha Theta. He has made Honor Roll every semester of his high school career and has been a two-sport athlete as well. After graduation, Daniel plans to continue his baseball career at the collegiate level.

Brandon, son of Andre and Amelia Santos of Joliet, is the Joliet Noon Lions Club Student of the Month. Brandon is a member of honor societies Mu Alpha Theta and Spanish National Honor Society. He is also involved with Key Club, Spanish Club and is a JCA Student Ambassador. Brandon has received High Honor Awards in English and Psychology as well as a gold medal on the National Spanish Exam. Brandon plans to major in Finance at Marquette University.

Julia, the daughter of John and Lynn Shemaitis of Joliet, is the Exchange Club Student of the Month. Julia is a member the National Honor Society and is the Vice President of the National Latin Honor Society. She is also a member of Student Council and Latin Club. Julia has been a decorated volleyball player at JCA for multiple years as well.
