JCA ANNOUNCES SEPTEMBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Joliet Catholic Academy President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz is pleased to announce the September Students of the Month: Jordan Reeves (Kiwanis Club), Claire Blotnik (Rotary Club) and Nate Novak (Lions Club).   JCA is proud of the success these students have exhibited both in the classroom and out in the community.

Jordan Reeves, daughter of Robert and Jodie Reeves of Plainfield, is a graduate of St. Mary Immaculate Grade School. Jordan is a member of the National Honor Society, National Foreign Language Honors Society, National English Honors Society, and was named a National All American Scholar Athlete in 2022 and 2023 by the NFCA.  She is a member of Student Ambassadors, Medical Science Club, Key Club and Habitat for Humanity, along with being a member of the Cross Country and Softball teams.  Jordan plans to attend a 4-year university and major in Health Sciences.  She then wants to further her education by attending dental school to become an orthodontist.  

Nate Novak, son of Kevin and Jen Novak of Plainfield, is a graduate of St. Mary Immaculate Grade School.  Nate is a member of the Spanish Honors Society English Honors Society, Honors Program, and National Honors Society.  He is the Executive Vice President of Student Council, Vice President of Habitat for Humanity, and is involved with Key Club, Economics Club, Big Buddies/ Little Buddies, and Student Ambassadors.  Nate received special recognition for being in the Top 10% for the John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage Essay Contest.  Nate hopes to either attend Washington University, SLU, American University or George Washington and major in Political Science.  Nate would someday like to be involved in politics at the state or national level. 

Claire Blotnik, daughter of Steve and Kathy Blotnik of Shorewood is a graduate of St. Raymond Grade School.  She is a member of the National Honor Society and English Honors Society and is the JCA Student Body President, the Vice President of Key and Leo Club, and is the Varsity Captain of the Cross Country and Track Teams.   Claire is involved with the Habitat for Humanity Club, Economics Club and Student Ambassadors.  Currently Clarie is researching nursing programs at Saint Mary’s college and Belmont University, two possible schools where she would like to attend.   Claire is busy outside of her school duties also by maintaining a job at TCBY.
