PRAYER & DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS for May 7, 2024

Good morning JCA family. This is Senior Claire Blotnik and today is Tuesday May 7th, 2024.

Christ in Heaven, another springtime is upon us, and we are blessed to have a fresh new chance along with it. Lord, I cry out to you because I want to do better for You. Give me the motivation to read more, pray more, and to make my flames brighter for You and Your word. Help my passion for You become stronger and more vibrant. Help me grow a newly energized mindset and keep me determined as I venture through this season of my life. In Your son’s name, I pray. Amen.

  • OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL…. pray for us.
  • FRANCIS OF ASSISI……. pray for us.

Current students interested in participating in the Summer Work-Service Program should fill out the application online.  Applications are due no later than Friday, May 17. We are also looking for a small number of graduating Seniors to act as paid supervisors for the Work-Service Program.  Interested Seniors should see Dr. Bailey in Campus Ministry to apply. (Bailey)

Seniors, it is essential that you turn in your computer so that it can have JCA’s monitoring software removed and be returned to factory settings. Failure to do so can keep your device from working properly. You can turn your device in at the Help Desk at any time during the school day whenever you are finished using it to study for exams. Or you may bring your device to Graduation Practice where we can collect it at that time. Be sure everything has been moved to your OneDrive before you turn your device in. Please check your email for more detailed information. (Schertz)

Seniors, are you getting a new laptop for college? We will pay you $50 for your school Microsoft Surface at the end of the school year. If you are one of the first 25 to come to the IRC during senior exam days, your Surface is in good working order, and has a charger, you could be in luck! We will mail the check to your home once the devices have been collected and approved. (Schertz)

Attention all Senior students, who are NHS members, gold tassels for graduation will be available for purchase of $5 or trade in of your graduation tassel in room 103 from now UNTIL TODAY, MAY 7th.  NO TASSELS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER MAY 7th. (Barrett)

There will be a brief Medical Science Club meeting after school on Wednesday in room 129. It will be the last meeting of the year. Please stop by for a snack. If you would like to bring cookies or another treat to share with the rest of the club, that would be great. See you then. (Morrissette)

This announcement is for the seniors who received a group chat to be filmed by WJCA for the Yearbook’s “Best Of” video.  If you haven’t been filmed for your category yet, Bella Berta and Lilly Van Tassel will be filming in the cafeteria today at the beginning of 5a.  This is the last day of filming so please don’t miss out! (Ostrem)

PRAYER & DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS for May 6, 2024

Good morning JCA family. This is Senior Adrain Sarte and today is Monday May 6th, 2024.

Wonderful Savior, please help me to use this newly revived springtime season to revive a newness in my heart, my home, and in my life. Help me to be more loving, generous, and thoughtful. As I live day by day, remind me of the beauty of spring, and what new beginnings mean. Place those in my path that need help. Present me with situations where I can support others, teach me what to pray about, and give me insight on when to show compassion. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
