SEPTEMBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Joliet Catholic Academy is proud to announce its September Students of the Month. Kudos to Jasmine Lumpkin (Kiwanis Club of Joliet), Seth Stockl ((Joliet Noon Lions Club), and Modesty Tan (Rotary Club of Joliet).

Jasmine Lumpkin is the daughter of Jerry and Brenda Lumpkin of Bolingbrook. Jasmine is an Honor Roll student and also a member of the National Spanish Honors Society. She is a standout on the JCA Girls’ Basketball team, having played a large role in last year’s 3A Regional victory. Jasmine is an All-State/All-Conference player and has committed to Michigan State University. There she will continue her athletic career and study either Pre-Med or Kinesiology. Jasmine plans to become a pediatric nurse or physical therapist.

Seth Stockl is the son of Daniel and Claire Stockl of Plainfield. Seth boasts a 4.88 GPA on a 5.25 scale and is one of the top students in his class. He is a member of both the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. Seth is active in extracurricular activities including soccer, tennis, and the math team. After high school, Seth plans to attend University of Illinois and major in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Modesty Tan is the daughter of Mark and Mildred Motzny of Joliet. Modesty is a member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, International Thespian Society, Drama Club, and Spanish Club. She is a great example of a leader as the Student Council Senior Class President and a JCA Student Ambassador. Modesty plans to attend Loyola University after high school and follow the Pre-Medicine track. She intends to become a pediatrician.
