Ryan Quigley ’03 inducted into the Saint Xavier University Athletics Hall of Fame

Joliet Catholic Academy President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz is pleased to announce that Ryan Quigley ’03, Joliet Catholic Academy’s Director of Institutional Advancement was recently inducted into the Saint Xavier University Athletics Hall of Fame.

“On behalf of the faculty and staff and students we congratulate Ryan Quigley on his honor of entering the Saint Xavier Athletics Hall of Fame. This is most deserving as we know Ryan to be a man who works hard at his craft and one that excels in all that he does.”

Pitcher, 2003-07

 Notable Career Accomplishments:

2005 NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, 2005 NAIA Great Lakes Region All-Star, 2007 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Pitcher of the Year and was a two-time All-CCAC First Team (2005 & 2007). Finished with a career record of 32-11and is tied for the most career wins at SXU. Posted 312 career strikeouts, third most all-time, in 345 .1 innings, second most for the Cougars, in 62 games with a 3.34 earned run average (ERA). In 52 starts, he threw 15 complete games Ryan Quigley with four shutouts. In 2005, Quigley went 10-2 with a l.96 ERA in 110.l innings with 113 strikeouts, third most in single-season team history, over 19 games. His senior season in 2007, he went 7-0 over 13 games with a 3.75 ERA in 74.l innings and had 67 strikeouts.

Fond Memory at Saint Xavier: “My fondest memory came during by junior year (2006). The team started 8-20 after corning off of consecutive 40-win seasons due to some injuries and poor play. Our coaching staff never wavered, we turned it around and went 24-4 to close out the regular season that culminated in a CCAC Championship, winning the NAIA Super Regional at home, and advancing to the NAIA Baseball World Series.”

Where Are They Now: Ryan lives in Shorewood, Ill. with his wife Lindsey and their son JP (seven) and daughter Emery (three). He is the Director of Institutional Advancement at Joliet Catholic Academy and also helps coach the baseball and football teams.
