Joliet Catholic Academy President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz is pleased to announce the October Students of the Month: Jack Oswalt (Kiwanis Club), Miles Czerkies (Rotary Club) and Sarah Williams (Lions Club).   JCA is proud of the success these students have exhibited both in the classroom and out in the community.

Jack Oswalt, son of Dawn and Kristopher Oswalt of Shorewood, is a graduate of Trinity Christian School. Jack is a State qualifier for the Math team, an AP scholar, winner of the JCA Heritage award and is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and National Spanish Honor Society.  He is the Key Club Vice President, Student Council Treasurer, Founder and President of the Economics Club, Cross Country and Tennis Captain, and Medical Science Club President.   Jack would like to attend a 4-year university and get his MBA and possibly become a Financial Advisor. 

Miles Czerkies, son of Laura and Scott Czerkies of Joliet, is a graduate of Holy Family Grade School.   Miles is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and the National English Honors Society.  He is involved with the Key Club, Habitat for Humanity, Student Ambassadors, and Economic Club.  Miles is a member of the Soccer and Volleyball teams, and he wants to major in Mechanical Engineering in college.

Sarah Williams, daughter of Laurie and Michael Williams of Joliet, is a graduate of St. Paul the Apostle Grade School.   Sarah is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National French Honor Society (officer), National Art Honor Society (Secretary), and the Thespian National Honor Society (scribe).   In 2023, Sarah was a silver medalist in the National French Contest and ranked 9^th nationally and in 2022 and 2021 she received bronze medals in the same contest.   Sarah is involved with the Drama Club, Key Club, Habitat for Humanity, Student Ambassadors, Pickle Ball club and Victory View newspaper. Sarah is looking to attend either Marquette, Wisconsin, or St. Louis University and wants to major in Journalism, Digital Media, and Communications.
