JCA_IMG 028_croppedEverything was going Marist’s way in the East Suburban Catholic Conference varsity football game against JCA. The RedHawks had a 13-0 lead before the Hilltoppers had their hands on the ball.

Marist’s third possession ended when JCA cornerback Brendan O’Brien intercepted a pass along the sideline and returned it 15 yards. The play ignited the Hilltoppers on both sides of the ball. They drove to a touchdown, battled their way to a 21-all halftime tie and owned the second half of a 49-27 victory.

JCA celebrates Heritage/Homecoming week with a game against St. Patrick High School on Friday, October 4, 2013. The Hilltoppers, 5-0 on the season, 3-0 in the conference, will take the Joliet Memorial Stadium field at 7:30 p.m.
