Freshman and New Student Welcome Mass and Family Picnic

Good afternoon JCA family,

We can’t wait to welcome you all to our annual Freshman and New Student Welcome Mass and Picnic this Sunday, August 15 at 5 p.m. in Heritage Quad. For the first time, we are electing to hold this event outdoors. Incoming freshman will sit in provided chairs surrounding the altar. Parents and family members should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets and will sit in the lawn south of the Victory Light in Heritage Quad. In the event of inclement weather, the evening will move indoors to the Student Activity Center.

Please park in the south parking lot outside of the Student Activity Center along Ingalls Ave. The main drive located along Larkin Ave. will be cordoned off. Immediately following Mass, there will be a short mandatory Parent Meeting at 6 p.m. discussing important back to school topics. Parents will hear from the following offices: President, Vice-Principal, Dean’s Office/Student Life, Counseling, Campus Ministry, Admissions, and Communications. At the conclusion of the meeting, JCA will be providing food and drink for all in attendance. No RSVP is necessary.

The JCA Spirit Shop will be open at the conclusion of the Parent Meeting. Students may also enter the building and walk their class schedules or set up lockers. Masks must be worn while inside the building, but do not need to be worn outside.

Please contact the JCA Admissions Office at admissions@jca-online.org or 815.741.0500 with any questions.
